Three passengers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a hospital on Tuesday in Lagos State when a commercial bus somersaulted and caught fire after it collided with a tricycle that drove against traffic. It was gathered that the driver of the fully-loaded bus heading towards Iyana Ipaja suddenly lost control of the bus after it collided with the tricycle that was being driven against traffic, causing the vehicle to somersault before going up in flames. As a result of the accident, some of the passengers who sustained minor injuries were given first aid treatment while three of them who sustained serious injuries were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention. The people at the scene of the incident as well as officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other emergency responders made efforts to put out the fire before pushing the bus to the side of the road.
