The Furaka Community in the Jos North local government area of Plateau State was thrown into confusion on Tuesday as kidnappers killed a man and whisked away two people in the neighbourhood. A source in the community who spoke with on condition of anonymity said the kidnappers who stormed the community at about 10:00 p.m. shot sporadically into the air to announce their arrival. The source added that kidnappers forced their way into the premises and abducted a man, Mr Antipas Gabriel, who works with the Plateau State Water and Sanitation Agency, in the presence of his family and a twenty-year-old lady. It was gathered that the entire community was under the siege of the kidnappers for more than thirty minutes while a man who was trying to scale a fence for a possible escape, identified as Aron Dani, was shot dead by the kidnappers.
