Two vehicles, a truck and a bus, were reportedly destroyed in a fire incident that ravaged Aasco Petrol Station beside the Nigeria Airforce office along Ajase-Ipo road, Ilorin, on Saturday evening. The fire incident, which was said to have destroyed part of the petrol fueling station, was said to have been caused by a spark from a Toyota Dyna truck parked at the station. A passersby alerted the state fire service, which took prompt action to put out the fire and reduce the level of damage to the filling station. The head of media and publicity for the state fire service, Hassan Adekunle, said that firemen deployed their expertise to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the filling station.
