One person was confirmed dead when a truck rammed into a shopping complex in Jos, the Plateau State capital. The incident happened on Tuesday night when the driver of the vehicle lost control. An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, said that five other occupants of the truck sustained injuries, adding that one of them had a deep cut on his neck. The incident occurred at about 11:00p.m. during a heavy rain fall around the D/B Zang Junction in Jos South Local Council of the state. It was learnt that the victims were evacuated by police officers, who rushed them to a hospital for medical attention.The truck also destroyed electrical installations, including the only transformer that supplies power to residents of Gyel District of Bukuru, the headquarters of Jos South Local Council.
