There was chaos at the University of Uyo Health Centre Along Nwaniba Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, after some armed robbers attacked newborn mothers and staff of the hospital, carting away valuables in the process. One of the victims, who is a newborn mother, narrated how the incident happened. She said, "Two of them came into the postnatal ward with guns, threatening to shoot if we failed to surrender our valuables. They took our phones and money; they also removed some money from the hospital drawers. Three others were outside the health center." They went away with their phones and other valuables.
