Three policemen were shot by gunmen who attacked their convoy in Effium community in Ohaukwu council of Ebonyi State. The assailants reportedly ambushed the convoy on which a lawmaker in the state, Chinedu Awo, was riding. They were reportedly attacked on their way back from Effium where they went in search of a kidnapped consultant handling the Ebonyi ring road project, who was abducted alongside four others three weeks ago
