One person was killed and another injured in a car accident that occurred at the Women Development Centre in Uyo along the IBB route. The accident involved a Mack truck belonging to AMITEC construction company. The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Matthew Olonisaye in a statement attributed the cause of the accident to brake failure. He advised vehicles owners to take the maintenance of their vehicles seriously adding that the command would continue to be hard on vehicles owners that compromise on this.
