A fire outbreak has destroyed a section of the building housing the department of agricultural sciences, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi. The source of the fire incident is yet to be ascertained. The fire started at the Gubi permanent campus of the university. There were no human casualties, men of the university fire service acted promptly and were able to put the fire under control. Valuable documents and other items were destroyed by the fire outbreak.
