Gunmen invaded Owerri through the ever-busy Onitsha- Owerri road and Aba-Owerri road respectively just as they were shooting sporadically in the air without anybody challenging them. People were seen running in all directions while parents went to withdraw their children and wards from schools. Motorists quickly made U-turns while many passengers disembarked. Traders at the multi-million Alaba International market and Naze Cluster markets quickly closed their shops and locked the entrances leading to the market.u
