Members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in the Ikotun area of Lagos State have taken to the streets to protest the death of two of their members. The drivers reportedly disallowed commercial vehicles from plying the routes, except for private vehicles. It was also gathered that private car owners who tried to offer a ride to passersby also had their vehicle glasses smashed by the protesters. An eyewitness said she had to return home as there was no way she could get to the office.
